Happy Birthday, Bob! Creatives Pay Tribute to Rauschenberg on the occasion of his Centennial

In advance of what would have been his 100th birthday, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation reached out to creators in a variety of fields to ask them for thoughts, stories, or creative reflections about Rauschenberg’s artistic legacy. We are grateful to Sharon Stone, Theaster Gates, Jason Wu, Alex Katz, Tyrrell Winston, Jonah Bokaer, Mary Ellen Carroll, Jamel Robinson, and members of the Trisha Brown Dance Company for their thoughtful reflections on Rauschenberg’s enduring influence, collaborative spirit, generosity, and radical openness, which continue to guide the Foundation’s work.
